Job summary

Dover Food Retail (DFR) is seeking a Supervisor for 3rd Shift to lead hourly production teams in South Chesterfield, VA. You will ensure safety, quality, and on-time output while coaching team members and driving standard work.

Key responsibilities include implementing daily standard work, driving continuous improvement, maintaining schedules and inventory, and partnering with related departments to meet targets. Ability to manage priorities and extend hours as needed.

Qualifications

• Requires high school diploma or GED.
• Minimum 3 years of experience in a leadership role.
• Minimum 5 years of manufacturing experience.
• Two years of experience with 5S, Lean/Six Sigma, or similar CI methodologies.
• Proficiency in MS Office (Outlook, Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to interact with employees at all levels of the organization.
• Demonstrated ability to manage competing priorities in a fast-paced environment.
• Willingness to work extended and/or weekend hours when required.

Responsibilities

• Provide leadership to team leaders and frontline hourly workers; ensure safety, set expectations, provide resources, coach, and audit accountability.
• Develop, implement, and audit daily standard work.
• Drive a culture of continuous improvement; perform root cause analysis and implement corrective actions.
• Maintain production schedule to meet quality and productivity targets.
• Maintain proper inventory control for raw materials in assigned departments.
• Partner with supply chain, quality, shipping and other departments to meet targets safely and on time.
• Respond promptly to operational issues affecting customer expectations and cycle time.
• Enforce company policies and assist with HR/Safety resources as needed.
• Build morale and maintain positive attitudes among associates.
• Interview and select candidates; document skills and training accomplishments.
