Job summary

Dover Food Retail is seeking a Supervisor, Production – Fabrication for the 3rd shift in South Chesterfield, VA. You will lead team leads and hourly staff to meet safety, quality, and productivity goals in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.

The role requires strong leadership, excellent communication, and the ability to drive continuous improvement. A high school diploma or GED is required, with 3+ years of leadership and 5+ years in manufacturing. Some 5S/Lean experience is preferred.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED.
• Minimum 3 years’ experience in a leadership position (team lead, team captain, supervisor, shift lead, etc.)
• Minimum 5 years’ experience working in a manufacturing environment.
• Two years’ experience with 5S, Lean/Six Sigma, or other continuous improvement methodologies (preferred)

Responsibilities

• Provide leadership to team leads and hourly production staff; ensure a safe environment and accountability.
• Develop, implement, and audit daily standard work.
• Drive continuous improvement with root-cause analysis and corrective actions.
• Maintain production schedule meeting quality and productivity targets.
• Maintain good inventory control for raw materials.
• Collaborate with supply chain, quality, shipping and others to meet targets.
• Respond promptly to operational issues affecting customer expectations.
• Enforce company policies; engage HR/Safety when needed.
• Build morale and train associates; initiate requisitions and interview candidates.
• Document skills and knowledge to create a training matrix.
• Capture and analyze productivity data to understand variations.
• Communicate decisions with data and documentation.
• Timekeeping in ADP for direct reports.
