Job summary

Electrical Automation Services in Naperville, IL is seeking a Production/Maintenance Technician for night shifts to troubleshoot and repair high-speed production line equipment and packaging systems. You’ll perform preventive maintenance, support quality programs, and help implement improvements.

The role requires stationary work most of the day, with physical tasks including lifting and ladder access; weekend coverage may be needed. OT and double-time after thresholds are offered per policy.

Qualifications

• Two years of Production Line Mechanic or Technician experience preferred, or equivalent technical education.
• Packaging and steel aerosol can or aluminum can making equipment experience is a plus.
• Understanding of automation principles and controls logic is a plus.
• Ability to use Maintenance Shop equipment is a plus.
• Must be able to stand on your feet for most of the day, in hot conditions, crawl under lines and climb ladders.

Responsibilities

• Troubleshoot and repair mechanical problems on high-speed production line equipment such as drives, conveyors and hydraulics.
• Troubleshoot and repair electrical problems on packaging/processing equipment including wiring, switches and motors.
• Complete routine preventative maintenance tasks safely, cost effectively and on time.
• Support food safety, quality and continuous improvement activities.
• Request design/fabrication of replacement parts or equipment as needed.
• Take lead to consult with internal resources to resolve issues and improve equipment.
• Maintain a clean and orderly work area; keep workspace and storage free from debris.
