Job summary

Electrical Automation Services is seeking a Production Line Mechanic/Technician for night shifts to troubleshoot and repair high-speed production line equipment. You will work with electrical staff, perform preventative maintenance, and support quality and continuous improvement initiatives.

The role requires mechanical aptitude, familiarity with automation concepts, and the ability to lift up to 50 pounds or work in hot environments. Weekend availability and a flexible schedule are expected.

Qualifications

• Two years of Production Line Mechanic or Technician experience preferred.
• Packaging/steel or aluminum can equipment experience is a plus.
• Understanding of automation principles and controls logic is a plus.
• Ability to use maintenance shop equipment is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Troubleshoot and repair mechanical problems with high-speed production line equipment (e.g., mechanical drive systems, hydraulic and pneumatic systems, conveyors).
• Work with Electrical staff to troubleshoot and repair electrical problems with packaging/processing equipment (wiring, circuits, fuses, switches, motors and drives).
• Complete routine preventative maintenance tasks safely, cost effectively and on time.
• Support food safety, quality and continuous improvement activities.
• Request design/fabrication of replacement parts or equipment as needed.
• Take lead to consult with internal resources to resolve issues and improve equipment.
• Maintain a clean and orderly work area, ensuring space is free from debris and clutter.
