Job summary

Electrical Automation Services in West Chicago, IL seeks a Production Line Mechanic/Technician for night shifts to maintain high-speed manufacturing lines. The role involves both mechanical and electrical troubleshooting, preventative maintenance, and collaboration with Electrical staff.

You will support food safety and continuous improvement, arrange replacement parts, and lead internal problem-solving efforts while keeping the workspace clean and safe.

Qualifications

• Two years of Production Line Mechanic or Technician experience preferred, or an equivalent technical degree or education.

Responsibilities

• Troubleshoot and repair mechanical problems on high-speed production line equipment (drive systems, hydraulics, pneumatics, conveyors).
• Troubleshoot and repair electrical problems on packaging/processing equipment (wiring, circuits, fuses, switches, motors, drives) with Electrical staff.
• Complete routine preventative maintenance safely, cost effectively and on time.
• Support food safety, quality and continuous improvement activities.
• Request design/fabrication of replacement parts or equipment as needed.
• Lead internal consultations to resolve issues and improve equipment.
• Maintain a clean, orderly work area and storage spaces free from debris.
