Job summary

Leggett & Platt, Inc. is seeking a Production Supervisor for our bedding operations. You will oversee safety, quality, and production processes, coordinating with Safety/Environmental Director, HR, Maintenance, Quality, and Master Scheduler to drive daily performance.

The role demands scheduling, training, and a proactive approach to continuous improvement. The position requires 1-2 years of leadership in manufacturing, strong communication, and the ability to work the night shift.

Qualifications

• 1-2 years of leadership experience in a manufacturing environment.
• Knowledge of the manufacturing process used by the company.
• Product familiarity, including the product structures.
• Good communication skills and the ability to motivate employees.
• Ability to perform job independently.

Responsibilities

• Identify and stop further processing of non-conformances related to products, processes, or the quality systems.
• Take action to prevent non-conformities related to the product produced, services provided or the ISO 9001:2015 management system.
• Make suggestions for improvement and verify the implementation of solutions.
• Know the location of and understand their control plans, work instructions and specifications.
• Reports to Building Superintendent and Shift Superintendent.
• Responsible for department housekeeping, organization, and scrap removal.
• Help to create a pleasurable work environment for employees.
• Analyze machines to determine machine update/overhaul requirements.
• Hours are 10:30pm – 7:30am CST.
• Inspect working areas of employees throughout department.
• Maintain safe working environment.
• Lead Safety Committee in the departments as needed.
• Must know and be responsible for MSDS, OSHA standards, and related programs.
• Oversee training and ensure compliance with ISO 9001:2015.
• Schedule and organize product flow to meet goals.
