Job summary

Corning in Newton, NC is seeking a Manufacturing Team Leader for the Night Shift to supervise cable production and warehouse operations, leading 30–60 hourly associates and 1–3 coordinators. Reports to Operations as part of the NCP Leadership team.

You will drive safety, quality, and cost objectives while managing staffing, training, and lean improvements in a dynamic manufacturing environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science in a manufacturing-related field (preferred).
• Experience leading teams in a manufacturing setting is valued.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.

Responsibilities

• Ensure personal and team safety by following safe work practices.
• Oversee production and/or warehouse activities to meet goals on quality and cost.
• Prioritize schedules based on induction, equipment efficiency, and materials supply.
• Adjust staffing and machine assignments for optimal flow and efficiency.
• Develop and manage training plans for operators and staff, recognizing high performance.
• Maintain world-class housekeeping and product flow standards.
• Manage attendance for payroll processing and reporting.
• Lead projects affecting hourly staffing or process flow improvements.
• Support Lean projects introducing new products or processes.
• Participate in Continuous Improvement Team to improve plant operations.
• Document procedure revisions and identify inefficiencies.
