Job summary

Graham Packaging in Evansville, IN is seeking a Production Supervisor to oversee hourly workers across all blow molded container production during the night shift (7pm–7am). You will ensure safety, quality, and productivity while directing shift staff and maintaining compliance with GMP and company policies.

The role requires a Bachelor’s degree or related operations experience and at least 2 years in a supervisory or management position in manufacturing.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree and/or related operations experience or equivalent combination of education and related operations experience.
• Minimum 2 years’ experience in an operations supervisory or management role in a manufacturing environment with demonstrated leadership skills.

Responsibilities

• Enforce safety, health, quality GMP and Company policies and procedures.
• Interact with other managers, employees, vendors, and customers on shift leadership responsibilities.
• Perform shift-level personnel actions following established policies and practices.
• Oversee shift functions: training, safety, security, quality, inventory, housekeeping, and general management of Company policies.
• Resolve production and quality problems on the shift and monitor product quality.
• Provide shift documentation on decisions, issues, actions and status for CQI and compliance.
• Attend and conduct shift safety and production meetings as required.
• Review and authorize time records for all shift employees.
• Manage temporary staff to meet production and labor objectives.
• Optimize machine utilization; implement changes to improve efficiency and reduce costs as part of CQI.
• Assist management in reviewing shift operations and recommending operational changes.
• Assist with physical inventories per Company procedures.
• Maintain professional conduct and effective communication with internal and external customers.
• Execute leader standard work daily.
• 0-25% travel may be required.
