Job summary

Owens Corning in Irving, TX seeks a Production Supervisor to direct operations on a 12-hour rotating night shift and engage a team of roughly 30-35 employees. The role emphasizes safety, quality, and customer-focused production while driving continuous improvement and cost control.

The incumbent will report to the Operations Leader, supervise daily activities, and ensure timely, compliant production output with a focus on coaching, metrics, and cross-functional collaboration.

Qualifications

• Completed High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• Must be at least 18 years of age.
• Must be proficient in speaking, reading, and writing English.
• Must be able to provide authorization to work in the United States.
• Must have the ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
• Must be able to flex work hours as needed to fulfil company objectives.
• Ability to work in extreme temperatures and around dust and particulates.
• Strong knowledge of safety regulations, quality systems, and production processes.
• Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
• Proficiency in using production management software and Microsoft Office Suite.

Responsibilities

• Promote and enforce a culture of safety by ensuring compliance with all safety policies, procedures, and regulations.
• Conduct regular safety audits, risk assessments, and incident investigations.
• Lead safety huddles and awareness initiatives to reduce workplace hazards.
• Lead execution of monthly team safety requirements – including behavior-based safety observations, near miss reporting, safe work permits, safety meetings, pre-shift safety inspections, departmental inspections, etc., and build a culture where safety is the number one priority.
• Participates in the investigation of safety incidents and leads root cause analysis to drive for permanent resolution.
