Job summary

Siemens Energy in Charlotte, NC, seeks a Production Supervisor for the 3rd shift to lead the night team in the CoC Exciter unit, driving safe, on‑time production of large generator components. You will manage scheduling, resolve complex issues, and uphold quality standards in a Lean environment.

The role emphasizes independent shift leadership, strong production planning, and collaboration with maintenance to minimize downtime while meeting safety objectives.

Qualifications

• Associates degree or higher is accepted, equivalent professional experience is also acceptable.
• 5+ years of experience in a manufacturing or production environment.
• Direct supervisory experience in a manufacturing or production setting.
• Experience in Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, and/or 5S.
• Demonstrated leadership, accountability, workflow management, and troubleshooting skills.
• Strong knowledge of production planning, Lean principles, GMP, SAP, and mechanical aptitude.
• Commitment to quality and safety with experience in EHS requirements.
• Authorized to work in the United States without sponsorship.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct leadership and supervision to the 3rd shift production team, coaching performance and engagement.
• Plan and manage employee schedules, allocate labor resources, and ensure seamless shift handovers.
• Serve as the primary point of contact for operational matters during the 3rd shift and make independent decisions.
• Direct and monitor overnight production activities to meet safety, quality, delivery, and cost objectives.
• Troubleshoot and resolve complex production, process, and equipment issues to minimize downtime.
• Ensure compliance with EHS, GMP, and internal quality standards.
• Coordinate with maintenance to resolve issues and minimize production disruption.
• Drive continuous improvement through Lean principles, root cause analysis, and shift reporting.
