Job summary

Siemens Energy in Charlotte, NC is seeking a Weekend Production Supervisor to oversee manufacturing operations, ensuring safe, high-quality output and on-time delivery. You will guide a production team, manage scheduling, and drive lean initiatives across the line.

Responsibilities include safety leadership, overtime management, and collaboration with cross-functional teams to meet customer requirements. A strong background in manufacturing supervision and continuous improvement is essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree (BS/BA) or associate degree with equivalent work-related experience (4 years) or 10+ years of manufacturing supervision experience.
• 2+ years of direct supervisory experience and 5+ years of manufacturing experience involving machining preferred.
• Experience in Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, and or 5S; working knowledge of MRP and Quality Control systems.
• Experience working in a multi-disciplinary team environment.
• Excellent, demonstrated experience with computers and Microsoft Office; prior knowledge of Siemens Energy applications preferred.
• Conflict resolution experience with an hourly workforce preferred.
• Legally authorized to work in the United States; visa sponsorship may be considered for internal transfers.

Responsibilities

• Lead daily manufacturing operations with emphasis on safety, OSHA compliance, and corrective action for unsafe practices.
• Monitor production performance, analyze results, and collaborate across departments to resolve issues and meet goals.
• Manage workforce planning, including staffing allocation, training, temporary labor needs, attendance tracking, and employee development.
• Authorize overtime, address personnel matters, and support disciplinary actions while fostering a productive work environment.
• Adjust production schedules and allocate resources to meet customer demand and delivery commitments.
• Drive continuous improvement and lean initiatives with effective leadership and decision-making.
