Job summary

RRD in Wisconsin is seeking a Night Shift Press Assistant to support operations on the printing press. The role requires training on first shift prior to transitioning to the third shift, with a schedule of 10 PM to 6 AM, Monday through Friday, plus overtime as needed.

Starting pay ranges from $17 to $19 per hour plus a $3 shift differential, with comprehensive benefits including medical, dental, vision, 401(k) with match, and paid time off.

Qualifications

• Experience in a printing environment is preferred.
• Experience with hand tools is preferred.
• Ability to work in a team environment.

Responsibilities

• Prepares the press for a run by verifying job specs and setting up the press.
• Inspects the fountain solution, inking systems, rolls and reel mechanisms.
• Maintains inventory of paper; records usage and spoilage on SPC report.
• Ensures roll of paper is unwrapped, mounted and ready to splice.
• Monitors the flow of paper; prepares and installs new rolls as needed.
• Works with press operators and assistants on preventative maintenance.
• May assist with make-readies.
• May adjust ink, solvent, and varnish to establish or maintain color as required.
• Adheres to safety policies including hazardous waste handling and LOTO rules.
• Performs other duties and participates in special projects.
• Follows ISO Quality Manual processes.
