Job summary

RR Donnelley is seeking a Press Assistant to support the pressroom operations on the 3rd shift. The role involves preparing presses, verifying job specs, and assisting with in-line maintenance and make-readies. Training on the first shift will occur prior to transitioning to night operations.

The position offers a starting pay range of $17.00–$19.00 per hour plus a $3 per hour shift differential, with benefits and standard company programs. Equal opportunity employer.

Qualifications

• Previous experience in a printing environment preferred.
• Some experience in the operation of various hand tools preferred
• Must be able to work in a team environment

Responsibilities

• Prepare the press for a run by verifying job specs and setting up the press.
• Inspect fountain solution, inking systems, rolls of paper and related mechanisms.
• Maintain inventory of paper and record usage/spoilage.
• Ensure rolls are unwrapped, mounted, and ready to splice.
• Monitor paper flow and install new rolls as needed.
• Assist with press maintenance and troubleshooting.
• Assist with make-readies and adjust ink/solvent/varnish as required.
