Job summary

RRD is seeking a Digital Print/Press Operator in Wisconsin to set up and run jobs on a Digital Press, review files, and ensure output quality. The role includes working 2nd shift from 3:00 PM to 1:00 AM, with a base pay range and a $1/hr shift differential, plus potential bonuses and benefits.

Responsibilities include preparing jobs, operating bindery equipment, packaging, and coordinating with Customer Service and production staff to resolve issues.

Qualifications

• Good understanding of digital file formats (pdf, tiff, eps) from Mac/PC required.
• Basic color management skills and ability to work with different digital formats.
• Ability to output digital files to various output devices and learn new graphics software.
• Mechanical skills using small hand tools for minor repairs and setup

Responsibilities

• Review job instructions to prepare jobs for printing on a Digital Press.
• Set up, program, and release jobs from the print queue.
• Monitor the quality of job output for correctness and image quality.
• Utilize bindery equipment to complete jobs (cutter, folder, creaser, shrink tunnel).
• Package jobs and prepare for shipping.
• Review electronic files from clients for thoroughness before plate making.
• Identify missing or problematic components and communicate them to stakeholders.
• Work with Customer Service Reps and production staff to resolve issues.
• May prepare color proofs for customer review.
