Job summary

MnSP is seeking a Prep & Extraction Operator to support the production of soybean meal, hulls, pellets, and crude oil in Brewster, MN. The role involves night shifts 7:00 PM to 7:00 AM on a 2/3/2 schedule with every other weekend off, starting at $20.00 per hour plus a $2.00 night shift premium.

The operator will conduct inspections, adjust machinery, collect lab samples, and maintain accurate production logs while upholding safety, quality, and efficiency across the plant.

Qualifications

• Safety-focused: follow safety policies, OSHA regulations and maintain a safe work environment.
• High school diploma or equivalent is required.
• Knowledge of mechanical processes and aptitude for spatial awareness and quantitative reasoning.
• Previous operator experience is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Ensure safe, efficient production of soybean meal, hulls, pellets, and crude oil.
• Monitor and adjust operations using computerized control systems.
• Gather laboratory samples and perform control analyses as required.
• Maintain logs of production variables: volume, yield, uptime, and utilities.
• Perform general facility maintenance and housekeeping, including inspections and repairs.
• Identify and address equipment issues and ensure consistent equipment performance.
