Job summary

Vulcan Materials Company in Manassas, VA, seeks a Night Shift Plant Maintenance Technician to sustain site reliability through inspections, PM tasks, and routine maintenance with supervision. You will replace basic components, assist in minimizing downtime, and qualify safety protocols (MSHA/OSHA) with Lockout/Tagout practices.

Responsibilities include pre/post-shift inspections, lubricating parts, troubleshooting minor issues, fabricating and rebuilding parts, ordering parts, and maintaining

Qualifications

• 2 to 5+ years of mechanical maintenance experience in the aggregate, mining, or heavy industrial sectors.
• High School diploma or GED is required.
• MSHA Certified (or willingness to complete MSHA training).
• An active valid driver's license.
• Familiarity with heavy equipment found in quarries such as crushers and vibrating screens.

Responsibilities

• Conduct pre-shift and post-shift equipment inspections and complete scheduled preventive maintenance.
• Troubleshoot and replace basic mechanical components such as belts, idlers, pulleys, and pumps.
• Perform structural repairs, welding, cutting, and grinding for wear parts.
• Rebuild and fabricate parts as needed and order parts from approved vendors.
• Maintain service and lubrication logs for plant equipment and assist in mobile equipment maintenance.
• Adhere to MSHA/OSHA regulations and execute LOTO protocols.
