Job summary

The Plant Maintenance Specialist (Night Shift) at Vulcan Materials Company is responsible for understanding plant operations, performing inspections of critical areas, and executing routine maintenance tasks with minimal supervision to support site goals.

You will troubleshoot basic mechanical components, maintain logs, and ensure compliance with MSHA and OSHA standards while working the night shift with a 20% shift differential in the Northeast division.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED required.
• MSHA knowledge and requirements for plant maintenance.
• A valid driver's license.

Responsibilities

• Conduct pre-shift and post-shift equipment inspections, lubricate moving parts, and complete scheduled preventative maintenance tasks to prevent component failures.
• Troubleshoot and replace basic mechanical components, including conveyor belts, idlers, pulleys, and water pumps.
• Perform structural repairs, hard facing, and replace heavy wear-parts using welding, cutting, and grinding equipment.
• Strictly adhere to MSHA (Mine Safety and Health Administration) and OSHA regulations, execute Lockout/Tagout (LOTO) protocols, and maintain a hazard-free work area.
• Observe aggregate crushing, washing, and screening areas during operation to identify anomalies by sight or sound and perform minor adjustments.
• Record and maintain service logs, lubrication reports, and maintenance records for plant equipment.
