Job summary

Vulcan Materials Company is seeking a Night Shift Plant Maintenance Technician to maintain site reliability through inspections, proactive maintenance, and routine repairs with minimal supervision. Responsibilities include troubleshooting basic mechanical systems, replacing conveyors and pumps, and repairing wear parts in a heavy industrial setting.

You will adhere to MSHA and OSHA regulations, perform LOTO, and maintain thorough service logs.

Qualifications

• Strong mechanical aptitude and ability to read/interprete maintenance manuals and schematics.
• Experience with preventive maintenance practices in heavy industrial settings.
• Familiarity with MSHA/OSHA safety regulations and LOTO procedures.
• Ability to troubleshoot and repair basic mechanical components such as conveyors, pumps, and crushers.
• Proficient in documenting maintenance records and logs.

Responsibilities

• Inspect equipment before and after shifts; perform scheduled PM tasks.
• Troubleshoot and replace basic mechanical components (belts, pulleys, pumps).
• Perform structural repairs and welding on wear parts as needed.
• Rebuild and fabricate parts; order parts from approved vendors.
• Maintain logs and records for plant equipment maintenance.
