Job summary

Advocate Health Care is seeking a part-time Nurse Aide for night shifts (7:00 pm–7:30 am) with rotating weekends and holidays. The role supports RN staff with basic patient care, daily hygiene, feeding, mobility, and documentation in the EMR.

Responsibilities include vital signs, rounds, and timely communication of observations to the RN. Requires GED/HSED or HS diploma, BLS within 45 days, and active state nurse aide registry status.

Qualifications

• GED or high school equivalency or high school diploma required.
• Basic computer skills expected for documentation and EMR entries.
• Strong written and oral communication abilities.
• Ability to organize tasks and manage priorities in a busy hospital setting.
• Team members must maintain annual hospital-based certification requirements.

Responsibilities

• Assist RN with daily patient care including bathing, feeding, and mobility.
• Measure and document vital signs and daily weights in EMR.
• Participate in patient rounds and communicate observations to RN.
• Support admission, transfer, and discharge processes under RN supervision.
• Collect specimens and assist with nutrition, positioning, and skin care.
