Job summary

Advocate Sherman Hospital is seeking a part-time Certified Nursing Assistant to support nursing staff on the Med Surg unit during the night shift. You will assist with daily patient care, monitor vitals, and help with admissions and discharges under RN supervision.

This role requires a GED/HS diploma and CNA in good standing, plus BLS within 45 days. The position includes 24 hours per week, with rotating weekends and holidays; benefits are available per hospital policy, and you will work on site

Qualifications

• BLS certification required within 45 days.
• Nurse Aide in good standing per State Registry.

Responsibilities

• Assist RN with daily patient care (bathing, feeding, positioning).
• Record vital signs and document in EMR.
• Support admissions, transfers and discharges under RN supervision.
• Collect specimens and assist with transport and routine tasks.
• Maintain patient rooms, supplies, and equipment.
