Job summary

Advocate Health is seeking a part-time, PRN nurse aide for night shifts. The role supports nursing staff in patient care, documentation, and daily operations within the hospital setting.

Responsibilities include assisting with activities of daily living, recording vital signs, and participating in admissions, discharges, and transfers under RN supervision. BLS must be obtained within 45 days; state nurse aide registration is required.

Qualifications

• GED/HSED or High School Diploma required.
• BLS certification to be obtained within 45 days.
• Nurse Aide in good standing as per State Registry.

Responsibilities

• Assist RN with daily patient care including bathing, feeding, and mobility.
• Record vital signs and inputs/outputs in the EMR.
• Perform rounding and communicate patient observations to RN.
• Support admission, transfer, and discharge activities under RN supervision.
• Collect specimens and assist with point-of-care testing as indicated.
• Restock nursing area and maintain cleanliness of equipment and spaces.
• Assist with patient positioning and nutritional needs as directed by RN.
