Job summary

Intermountain Health seeks a Patient Care Technician for a full-time night shift at Intermountain Medical Center, Murray, UT. The PCT assists the patient care team with basic nursing tasks under supervision and may serve as Health Unit Coordinator as needed.

Key duties include patient bathing, toileting, mobility, vital signs, specimen collection, documentation, and collaboration with RNs. Expect safety-focused care, telemetry as required, medication transport, and strong teamwork on a busy unit.

Qualifications

• Current Nursing Assistant Certification (CNA) in the state of practice.
• Basic Life Support Certification (BLS) for healthcare providers.
• Demonstrated basic computer literacy skills.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Prioritize and deliver basic patient care (toileting, bathing, linen changes) with excellent service.
• Report and record patient care findings promptly; alert changes in condition.
• May perform telemetry duties and monitor patients as required.
• Transport medications to RN on the unit.
• Collaborate with RN and interdisciplinary team to ensure optimal care.
• May assume health unit coordinator tasks (phones, orders, records).
• Implement plan of care as delegated.
• Perform duties within scope and follow regulatory standards.
• Foster safety by following policies and acting in emergencies.
