Sentara Leigh Hospital in Norfolk, VA seeks a dedicated Patient Care Technician for the Cardiac/Med Surg Unit 4 West. Work is on the night shift, roughly 6pm–6am, joining a team focused on collaborative, high-quality patient care.

The role supports nurses, participates in admissions/discharges, and ensures patient safety while delivering compassionate care on a 24-bed unit with post-cardiac care training provided.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or Equivalent.
• American Health Associate BLS Certification required within 90 days of hire.
• Minimum requirements include a CNA, NCMA, NCPCT or related healthcare credential.

Responsibilities

• Provide patient care under the supervision of a professional nurse.
• Support admissions and discharge processes and ensure patient safety.
• Observe patients and report changes to the nurse promptly.
