Job summary

Indiana University Health is seeking a Patient Care Technician (PCA) for full-time day shifts to support bedside care. You will assist with meals, hydration, walking, baths, linens, and gown changes while maintaining safety and comfort for patients.

As a PCA, you will obtain vital signs, report changes to the RN, and help the team deliver compassionate, timely care in a fast-paced hospital environment. A BLS certification is required or completed through IU Health PCA program.

Qualifications

• Certified bedside caregiver with ability to assist in meals, bathing, mobility and linen changes.
• Proficient in obtaining vital signs and reporting abnormalities to RN.
• Excellent communication and teamwork in a fast-paced hospital setting.

Responsibilities

• Assist patients with meals and hydration, walking, and daily activities.
• Assist with baths, hygiene, linen and gown changes to maintain comfort and safety.
• Monitor patient status, take vital signs, and alert RN to changes.
