Job summary

UMass Memorial Health is seeking a Patient Safety Observer to monitor patient safety and comfort during night shifts. You may assist with activities of daily living and communicate patient concerns to the nursing team, ensuring safety at all times.

The role requires a high school diploma or equivalent and CPR certification within 6 months of hire. Prior healthcare experience is preferred; training will be provided as needed.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent required.
• CPR certification within 6 months of hire preferred.
• Strong observation skills and attention to safety are essential.

Responsibilities

• Provide continuous safety observation of assigned patients.
• Assist with activities of daily living as directed by nursing staff.
• Document all issues and communicate with licensed staff immediately.
• Maintain patient dignity and report safety concerns.
