Job summary

UMass Memorial Health is seeking a Patient Safety Observer to provide continuous safety monitoring and patient comfort. The role includes assisting with activities of daily living under nursing direction and documenting observations for the care team.

Successful candidates will hold a High School diploma or equivalent, CPR certification within 6 months, and ideally prior healthcare experience. This position offers a mixed shift with potential signing bonus eligibility during recruitment.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent required.
• CPR certification required within 6 months of hire.
• Healthcare experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide continuous safety observation of patients to ensure patient safety and comfort.
• Assist with activities of daily living as directed by nursing staff.
• Document care and communicate issues to the licensed staff promptly.
• Maintain 15-minute safety checks and report any concerns immediately.
