Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• At least 1 year of customer service or healthcare environment experience.
• Basic computer and typing proficiency.

Responsibilities

• Interviews patients to obtain demographic, insurance, and other information.
• Engages patients to create a welcoming experience in person or by phone, during registration.
• Ensures referring providers' orders are complete and match the appointment scheduled.
• Obtains new orders prior to tests or treatments if incomplete or inaccurate.
• Scans insurance cards, patient IDs and documentation accurately; secures signatures for timely reimbursement.
• Determines and communicates patient financial liability and creates estimates; refers to financial counseling as needed.
• Reviews daily schedule to identify conflicts and coordinates with staff for resolution.
• Maintains compliance with registration accuracy and policy requirements.
