Responsibilities include Vital signs, phlebotomy/EKG where certified, and documenting care. The role emphasizes patient education, safety, and collaboration with the healthcare team, with a night shift schedule and per diem eligibility.

Qualifications

• Shows knowledge of basic patient care skills, procedures, and standards.
• Must have strong communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Assists with activities of daily living (bathing, dressing, grooming, oral care, feeding, toileting, mobility).
• Performs technical duties per RN/LPN direction (vital signs, point-of-care testing, bladder scans, Foley care) and documents.
• May perform phlebotomy and EKGs if certified.
• Identifies and communicates patient status changes to RN/LPN and responds appropriately.
• Reinforces education for patients and families about care needs and safety.
• Participates in patient satisfaction initiatives and performance improvement.
• Assists in orientation of new hires.
