Job summary

Virtua in Marlton, NJ is seeking a patient care aide to assist with activities of daily living under the direction of a Registered Nurse and/or LPN. You will support the healthcare team, communicate with patients and families, and uphold professional ethics.

Responsibilities include helping with bathing, dressing, hygiene, mobility, vital signs, phlebotomy if certified, education for patients and families, and participating in patient satisfaction and quality initiatives.

Qualifications

• Basic patient care skills, procedures and standards.
• Strong communication with patients and team.

Responsibilities

• Support activities of daily living: bathing, dressing, grooming, oral care, feeding, toileting/hygiene, mobility and transport.
• Perform vital signs, point-of-care testing, bladder scanning, Foley catheter care; phlebotomy and ECGs if certified.
• Reinforce education for patient and family about care needs and safety.
• Participate in Virtua patient satisfaction initiatives and goals.
• Participate in performance improvement activities.
• Assist in orientation of new hires.
