Job summary

Virtua Health in Marlton is seeking a dedicated patient care technician to support daily living activities for patients during night shifts. You will work under RN/LPN supervision, provide compassionate care, monitor patients, document vital signs, and participate in safety and education efforts.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Must have completed a PCT, CNA, or RN program or provide equivalent direct patient care experience.
• BLS certification required.
• Phlebotomy training for ED positions.

Responsibilities

• Assist with activities of daily living: bathing, dressing, grooming, oral care, feeding, toileting, mobility, and transportation.
• Perform vital signs, point-of-care testing, bladder scanning, and Foley catheter care as directed by RN/LPN.
• May perform phlebotomy and EKGs if certified; report changes in patient status to RN/LPN.
• Reinforce patient and family education on care needs and safety issues.
• Support patient satisfaction initiatives and participate in quality improvement activities.
• Assist in orientation of new hires.
