Job summary

UMass Memorial Health in Massachusetts is hiring a Patient Care Technician II for overnight coverage from 11 pm to 7:30 am. The role supports licensed clinicians, provides direct patient care, and helps maintain a safe, compassionate environment.

Candidates must have a high school diploma or GED, current BLS, English proficiency, and 800 hours of PCT I experience or 6 months inpatient care. The position offers a non-exempt status with a signing bonus eligibility.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
• 6 months inpatient care experience or 800 hours as a PCT I.
• Able to read, write and communicate in English clearly.
• Knowledge of medical terminology and patient care terminology.
• Strong interpersonal and problem solving skills.

Responsibilities

• Provide patient care under the supervision of licensed clinicians.
• Monitor vital signs and report changes to RN promptly.
• Assist with daily living activities and mobility.
• Support safety, de-escalation and infection control as needed.
• Prepare equipment and assist with treatments and procedures.
• Maintain clean, safe patient care environment and equipment.
