Job summary

UMass Memorial Health is seeking a Night Shift Patient Care Technician to join our team in the United States. The role runs 11 PM–7 AM, Monday through Friday with every other weekend, totaling 40 hours. A signing bonus may be available.

The candidate will support RN-directed care and maintain patient safety in a fast-paced hospital setting. Requirements include a high school diploma or GED, Basic Life Support (BLS) within 30 days, English literacy, basic computer skills, and medical terminology

Qualifications

Ability to read, write and communicate in English.
Basic Life Support (BLS) certification within 30 days of employment.
Basic computer skills and medical terminology knowledge.
Ability to remain calm when under stress or in emergencies.

Responsibilities

Provide clear, timely communication to the RN about patient observations and changes.
Maintain constant observation of high-risk patients as assigned.
Assist in patient daily living activities and mobility.
Assist with treatments, set up equipment, and provide emotional support to patients.
Perform vital signs, EKGs, point-of-care tests, and specimen handling as required.
