Job summary

Mercy Health in Cincinnati is seeking a Patient Care Technician (PCT) at Anderson Hospital to support nurses with basic patient care, monitor vital signs, and assist with feeding and grooming in a fast-paced hospital setting.

You will collaborate with the care team, document care in EPIC EHR, and uphold Mercy Health’s values of compassion and service. Training in EPIC EHR is preferred, with opportunities for professional development within the Mercy Health system.

Qualifications

• Basic patient care duties performed under RN supervision.
• Must be able to report changes and document care accurately.
• Excellent communication with patients, families and staff.

Responsibilities

• Provide basic patient care and comfort, monitor vital signs, and assist with mobility.
• Serve as liaison between patient and nurse to report changes.
• Deliver high-quality customer service to patients, families and staff.
• Document patient care accurately and timely.
• Participate in hand-off reporting on arrival and departure.
• Assist with transfers using safe techniques.
• Encourage independence and tailor care to patient interests.
