Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) required – will obtain during hospital orientation.
• Maintains compliance in RQI required.

Responsibilities

• Performs hourly rounding.
• Clerical tasks including maintaining chart order, answering telephones, and entering written physician’s orders in Meditech.
• Coordinates patient flow and information with the charge nurse to maintain communication between departments.
• Assists with all aspects of patient care and non-patient care within scope of practice as assigned by RN/LPN and documents in Meditech.
• Assists with patient/family teaching as appropriate.
• Maintains supplies and equipment.
