Qualifications

• Interpersonal, clerical, numerical and manual dexterity are required.

Responsibilities

• Performs hourly rounding.
• Performs clerical tasks: chart order maintenance, answering telephones, and entering physician orders in Meditech.
• Coordinates patient flow with the charge nurse to maintain inter-department communication.
• Assists with patient care and non-patient care duties within scope and documents in Meditech.
• Assists with patient/family teaching as appropriate.
• Maintains supplies and equipment.
• Enters daily outpatient and observation room charges.
• Follows safety and infection control standards.
• Communicates effectively with team members and maintains professional relationships.
• Maintains open lines of communication with staff.
