Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required (will be obtained during orientation).
• Maintains compliance with RQI requirements.

Responsibilities

• Performs hourly rounding.
• Answers phones, maintains chart order, and enters physician orders in Meditech.
• Coordinates patient flow with the charge nurse to maintain inter-department communications.
• Assists with patient care and unit cleanliness and supplies as assigned by RN; documents in Meditech.
• Assists with patient/family teaching as appropriate.
• Maintains supplies and equipment.
• Enters daily outpatient and observation room charges.
• Follows safety and infection control standards.
