Job summary

Stormont Vail Health is seeking a Birthplace Patient Care Technician (PCT) for a part-time, 12-hour night shift. The role involves assisting with breastfeeding, infant bathing, deliveries prep, and OR scrubs while supporting the care team with charts, room readiness, and stocking.

The ideal candidate has completed a nursing program semester or a medical assistant/PCT program and holds relevant certifications. BLS is required within 90 days.

Qualifications

• Completed first semester of an accredited nursing program or completed a medical assistant/PCT program.
• Active certification may substitute education requirements (CMA, CNA, EMT, etc.).
• BLS certification required within 90 days of hire.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate care with interdisciplinary team to promote health and wellness.
• Communicate pertinent patient information to staff in a timely manner.
• Promote infection prevention and proper hand hygiene in patient rooms.
• Assist with activities of daily living and record vital signs accurately.
• Support the care plan and participate in ongoing professional development.
