Job summary

Stormont Vail Health is seeking a part-time NICU Patient Care Technician (PCT) to join our team. The role includes assisting with sterile procedures, IV care, lab draws, infant feeding prep, and supporting NICU transport operations.

The position emphasizes coordination of care, infection prevention, and ADL support, with opportunities for teaching and professional growth within a patient-centered care framework.

Qualifications

• Successfully completed first semester in an accredited nursing program or completed a medical assistant/patient care technician program.
• Certification may substitute for education requirements (CMA, CMA, CMA/EMT, CNA, EMT).
• Experience in an office or clinic setting is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Implements identified plan through coordination of care with interdisciplinary care team.
• Collaborates with team to promote health and wellness and achieve outcomes.
• Communicates pertinent data quickly to the staff/PCTs and nurses.
• Promotes infection prevention using standard precautions and hand hygiene.
• Assists with activities of daily living and accurately records vital signs.
• Supports education and enculturation of new PCTs and students.
• Participates in ongoing professional development and evidence-based nursing practices.
