Job summary

Stormont Vail Health in Topeka, KS seeks a Birthplace Patient Care Technician (PCT) for a 12 Hour Night Shift. The role is part-time, non-exempt, and requires assisting in the Birthplace department with breastfeeding support, infant care, and room readiness.

The PCT will prepare charts, stock rooms, and help the team deliver patient-centered care while adhering to safety, infection control, and clinical protocols.

Qualifications

• Completed first semester in an accredited nursing program or completed a medical assistant/PCT program.
• A certified clinical medical assistant, CMA, RN, CNA, EMT or PCT certification may substitute for education.
• Experience in an office or clinic setting is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate care with interdisciplinary team to promote health and wellness.
• Communicate patient data and changes promptly to staff.
• Follow infection prevention standards and proper dressing changes.
• Assist with ADLs and record vital signs, reporting changes to the nurse.
