Job summary

Stormont Vail Health is seeking a Part-time Patient Care Technician to support the care delivery team under the supervision of a Registered Nurse. The role focuses on safe, compassionate patient care, assisting with sterile and non-sterile procedures, and documenting observations.

The position emphasizes collaboration, continuous learning, and infection prevention in a fast-paced clinical setting. The PCT will perform ADL assistance, monitor patient condition changes, and report to the RN.

Qualifications

• Successfully completed first semester in an accredited nursing program.
• Completed a medical assistant or patient care technician program.
• A Certified Clinical Medical Assistant, Certified Medical Assistant, Registered Medical Assistant, Certified Nursing Assistant, EMT or Patient Care Technician certification may substitute for education requirements.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate care with interdisciplinary team to implement the plan.
• Communicate relevant patient data to staff promptly.
• Promote infection prevention and proper hand hygiene in patient areas.
• Assist with activities of daily living and vital signs measurement.
• Provide care guided by professional standards and maintain patient dignity.
• Support continuous learning and safety, reporting concerns to RN.
