Job summary

Indiana University Health System is seeking a Part-Time Night Patient Care Technician (PCA) to assist bedside RNs, help with meals, mobility, baths, and linen changes, ensuring comfort and safety for patients in a fast-paced environment.

Candidates must hold current BLS through AHA, understand patient care procedures, infection control, and communicate well; the role requires physical stamina, ability to multitask, and compassionate bedside manner.

Qualifications

• Requires current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
• Requires knowledge of age-appropriate patient care.
• Requires proficiency in interpersonal and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Assist bedside RN with patient care and safety.
• Obtain vitals and report abnormalities.
• Assist with meals, mobility, baths and linen changes.
• Maintain infection control and aseptic technique.
