Job summary

Indiana University Health is seeking a part-time Night Patient Care Technician (PCA) to support bedside care, assist with meals and mobility, and help maintain comfort and safety for patients. The role works closely with RNs to monitor vital signs and respond to patient needs promptly.

Candidates should hold a current Basic Life Support certification and demonstrate knowledge of age-appropriate patient care, safety procedures, and the ability to manage a high workload in a fast-paced hospital

Qualifications

• Current Basic Life Support certification through the AHA is required.
• Knowledge of care appropriate to the age and developmental level of patients served.
• Ability to read and perform basic math and to organize tasks.

Responsibilities

• Provide clinical assistance to the bedside RN by obtaining vital signs and reporting abnormalities.
• Assist with activities of daily living (bathing, meals, mobility) and ensure patient safety.
• Maintain safety measures and stay within arm's reach when moving patients.

Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
