Job summary

Sentara Obici Hospital in Suffolk, VA is seeking a Patient Care Technician for the Medicine Unit. You will provide patient care, monitor vitals, assist with daily living activities, phlebotomy, EKG, specimen collection, and Foley care under RN supervision.

Qualifications include HS Diploma, BLS within 90 days of hire, and about 1 year of healthcare experience preferred. Competitive hourly pay and full benefits offered.

Qualifications

• HS Diploma or Equivalent (Required).
• BLS certification within 90 days of hire (Required).
• 1 year healthcare experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care and assist with daily living activities.
• Record vital signs and report changes to the nurse.
• Perform phlebotomy, specimen collection and point-of-care testing.
• Assist with EKG testing, IV removal, and Foley catheter care.
• Observe patient condition and document accurately under RN supervision.
