Job summary

Virtua Health in Marlton, NJ is seeking a part-time Patient Care Technician to assist with activities of daily living under RN/LPN supervision. Responsibilities include bathing, dressing, feeding, mobility and basic care, while maintaining safety and privacy standards.

You will support the healthcare team, document vital signs and assist with routine tests, participate in patient education, and help with orientation for new staff. A compassionate, team-oriented approach is essential.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Successful completion of a PCT/nursing assistant program or RN fundamentals course, or 1 year of direct patient care.
• BLS certification; phlebotomy training may be required for ED positions.

Responsibilities

• Assists with activities of daily living: bathing, dressing, grooming, feeding, toileting and mobility.
• Performs vital signs, point-of-care testing, bladder scanning, and Foley catheter care as directed; may perform phlebotomy and EKGs if certified.
• Notifies RN/LPN of changes in patient status and reinforces education to patient and family.
• Participates in Virtua patient satisfaction initiatives and performance improvement activities.
• Assists in the orientation of new hires.
