Job summary

Boston Medical Center (BMC) is seeking a Patient Care Technician to join the Medical Surgical/6 East team. The role supports RN-directed care, delivers direct patient services, and collaborates with the care team to meet patient and family needs.

Responsibilities include monitoring vital signs, assisting with hygiene, mobility, and comfort, and maintaining a safe, clean unit. BMC offers growth opportunities, training, and a supportive work culture.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• BLS with CPR certification required (current or within 30 days).
• PCT-related training or nursing student clinical rotations accepted.
• Experience as PCT in acute hospital setting preferred.
• Certified medical assistant training accepted.
• EMT/field medic experience may be considered for adult ED roles.

Responsibilities

• Perform delegated patient care interventions in MedSurg.
• Assist with vital signs, bathing, feeding, hygiene, wound care, and mobilization.
• Maintain safe, clean, and properly equipped patient environment.
• Support efficient operation and contribute to quality patient outcomes.
