Job summary

Boston Medical Center (BMC) is seeking a Patient Care Technician for the MedSurg unit. You will work under RN supervision, deliver patient-centered care, and support families while maintaining teamwork across units.

The role requires BLS/CPR certifications, a high school diploma, and the ability to pass clinical competency testing. Night shifts, 40 hours per week, and opportunities for growth are offered.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Current BLS and CPR certification required (or obtained within 30 days).
• Ability to pass clinical competency testing.
• Physical ability to perform job responsibilities.

Responsibilities

• Perform delegated patient care interventions for MedSurg patients and families.
• Clinical tasks include vital signs, bathing, feeding, wound care, hygiene, and emotional support.
• Maintain safe, clean environment and properly stocked supplies in MedSurg.
• Collaborate with nursing and other health care staff to meet patient needs.
