Job summary

Boston Medical Center (BMC) invites applications for a Patient Care Technician in the Medical Surgical/4 West unit. The role supports RN-directed patient care, including vital signs, hygiene, and mobility, while promoting a patient-centered care model.

Requirements include a high school diploma or GED, current BLS/CPR, and ability to pass competency testing. Prior MedSurg experience is preferred, and bilingual skills are a plus.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• BLS CPR certification current or within 30 days of hire.
• Ability to pass clinical competency testing.
• Fluency in another language is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Assist with vital signs, bathing, feeding, and basic care.
• Support environmental and inventory tasks to keep MedSurg clean and safe.
• Provide emotional support to patients and families.
• Collaborate with nursing staff to ensure high-quality patient outcomes.
