Boston Medical Center is seeking a Patient Care Technician for the MedSurg 6 East unit. You will work under RN supervision to deliver direct patient care and support services, contributing to patient and family needs while upholding hospital policies.

The role requires a high school diploma or GED, BLS/CPR, and the ability to pass competency testing. Prior MedSurg experience is preferred; fluency in another language is a plus, and full-time night shifts include weekends/holidays.

Formación

• High school diploma or GED required.
• BLS and CPR certification required (current or within 30 days).
• Ability to pass clinical competency testing.
• Physical ability to perform job responsibilities.
• Basic math and computer proficiency.
• One of the following: PCT in acute hospital setting, nursing program with rotations, PCT training, certified medical assistant training, EMT/field medic experience.

Responsabilidades

• Perform delegated patient care interventions for MedSurg patients and families.
• Obtain vital signs, assist with hygiene, bathing, feeding, wound care, and emotional support.
• Maintain a safe, clean environment and supply readiness in the MedSurg unit.
• Assist with efficient operation and patient/family outcomes in the department.

One of: PCT in acute hospital; nursing

Fluency in another language

Med/Surg experience preferred

Educación

High school diploma or GED

Currently enrolled in nursing program with clinical rotation

PCT training program completed

Certified medical assistant training completed

EMT or field medic experience
