Job summary

Mercy Springfield is seeking a Patient Care Technician to join the Night shift at Mercy Springfield South ED at Ortho. You will assist in individualized patient care under supervision, support the care team, and perform designated clinical procedures and non-clinical tasks.

Education and training are provided; BLS is required within one month of hire, with PCT competencies within 3 months. EMT/Paramedic experience and CNA/CPCT certifications are preferred.

Qualifications

• Education: High school diploma, GED, CNA/CPCT or enrolled in a healthcare career program.
• Experience: None required.
• Certifications: BLS within 1 month of hire; PCT competencies within 3 months of hire.
• Physical requirements: Ability to push/pull/lift 50 lbs; prolonged standing and walking.

Responsibilities

• Under direction of the RN or LPN, assists in individualized patient care to achieve wellness.
• Works with team to achieve group goals; performs clinical procedures and non-clinical support tasks.
• Participates in patient care activities and helps ensure a safe, efficient clinical environment.
