WVUH West Virginia University Hospitals is seeking a dedicated CNA to perform direct and indirect patient care under RN supervision. You will assist with daily living activities, basic clinical tasks, and safety procedures on the 7 East unit.

The role requires a high school diploma or equivalent and BLS/HeartSaver First Aid within 30 days. Night shifts, non-exempt status, and a focus on patient comfort are central to this position.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Obtain BLS/HeartSaver First Aid within 30 days of hire.
• Prior patient care experience preferred.

Responsabilités

• Assists in direct patient care by providing basic physical care to promote patient comfort as directed by the RN.
• Assists patients with activities of daily living, including making beds.
• Transports patients and specimens safely within the facility.
• Performs routine phlebotomy services and glucose monitoring where applicable.
• Records vital signs and basic health data per policy.
• Provides respiratory support and helps with oxygen administration as needed.
• Notifies RN immediately of patient concerns or changes in condition.
• Supports examinations and procedures alongside physicians and RNs.
• Assists with basic rehab activities and mobility as directed.
